What is a Water Baptism?

After repenting from sin and accepting the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, we encourage believers to follow His command to be baptized in water by immersion (Matthew 28:18–19). Baptism serves as an outward sign that the old life of sin has been buried with Christ and that a new life has begun through Him. For this reason, anyone seeking baptism should demonstrate a life that reflects their walk with Christ and their desire to live in obedience to His Word.
